(The article is very badly formatted, apologies).
Tuffy helped me through some tough times. When i was still a kid(tuffy was a pup),my dad insisted that the dog be kept-out during the nights. But,i didn't like this idea,so everyday i would unlock the back door at midnight exactly and Tuffy was always punctual.Tuffy demanded that the Air Conditioning be turned-on with a certain 'yawn'(he'd give a certain low sounding howl to make sure i heard).I complied after careful thought(the AC took-up a lot of electricity and the weather wasn't always hot).
When i hit "sludge",i would sit on the floor and stare at the corner of the wall for many hours in the night(in Germany,i would cycle up-to the hills and stare at the city, but this was cement clad India and the streets were always crowded).
Tuffy would at some point walk-up beside me and lean his entire weight against my body,i would realize this only after a few minutes. After his legs got tired,he'd lay-down with his belly next to my feet and start biting the 'squeezy'.After the squeezy was sufficiently saturated with saliva,he'd gladly hand-me the ball shoving it constantly against my shoulders.I'd respond with a throw normally but this was not a normal period.Tuffy would start bringing me stuff and lay them next to my feet,he wanted a response but i couldn't move, although i was observing everything. When i finally could,i would go back and lay in bed,Tuffy was always there,he'd be licking my hand and watching my eyes for a reaction the entire night.Tuffy behaved like this only when i was down ofcourse.
Dogs read eyes :
If you've observed police dog trainers, they always maintain eye contact(Humans tend to do that around big animals, the bite force of a German Shepherd is 238 pounds(108 kilograms)!).But,when you socialize with your dog for a long period, you no longer see him as a threat and forget the thing about eye-movements.This is a critical mistake, since dogs primarily understand you only though your eyes.Tuffy:
My dog 'Tuffy' has been with us for 10.5 years. We didn't see it necessary that Tuffy respond to instructions like "SIT","ROLL-OVER" or any of that, but i did teach him how to behave in public.Tuffy's travelled(travels) a lot and goes everywhere we go.He knows 4 languages(bits and pieces of-course) and most importantly observes my eyes for instructions.TUFFY ON THE BIKE
The problem at hand:
I have a very volatile mind and tend to reach rock-bottom(i call it "being in the sludge") at certain times of the day.It has now become a very severe problem and due to a lack of understanding among the Indian public,iv'e only myself to open-up to or the psychiatrists who unfortunately tend to describe people by a certain 'XYZ disorder'.To top it all,i'm into mathematics which requires a lot of study.Tuffy helped me through some tough times.

(It is in-fact a scientific fact that dogs respond to eye-movements primarily. In the link that i post at the end of this blog, you can read about an experiment conducted which confirms the above fact.)
